About Bob

Bob's interest in photography started several years back during a trip to Gettysburg. Borrowing his mothers old 35mm film camera he took a number of photos of the monuments and hallowed grounds of the Gettysburg battlefield. Due to the costs of film, and pursuing other interests, he took only a few photos in the following years.

In 2000 in order to better serve his web design customers, he purchased an 1.3MegaPixel Olympus camera. A fan of science fiction he began taking photos of those fans in costume at several area conventions. In 2002 he attempted to do a calendar as a charity project. Though that project didn't pan out, he did meet several individuals willing to pose for more serious photos for him. Thus began an annual event of doing scheduled photo shoots at area conventions and Renaissance festivals.

In early 2005, his original digital camera was lost at a sports event, and was replaced with a Kodak 4.0 MP and later a Kodak 5.0 MP camera in early 2006. In June of 2006, he bought his first Nikon DSLR, and can now produce solid photos with great color balance and image quality.

Bob's current focus is on outdoors landscape and wildlife photos, photos of cats, as well as glamour and fine art nude photography. He has also spent some time working at a mall photography studio doing children and family photography.

Bob shoots primarily with Nikon DSLR cameras and Nikon and Sigma lenses. He compliments this using Nikon flash units and Alien Bee strobe lighting, combined with a variety of backdrops, props and other equipment.
